Artist's Description
I painted this piece completely freehand and right out of my head - with no images to reference, or photos to look at. I painted it this way because I just LOVED the colors. At the time I thought the ocean color was a bit fanciful, but lo and behold on my next holiday to Cozumel and the Mayan Riviera, I was standing on the rocks looking out to sea with my hubby and what color do you think the ocean was? Yep, just this green. Which just goes to show what a wonderful part of us our subconscious is. I have been going to this area of Mexico for about 20 years and obviously this amazing green color was locked in there, just waiting to come out!
About Listen To Your Horse
Jini Patel Thompson, Kesia Nagata and MGK Designs share their photographs, paintings, and digital art of the Singing Horse herd and the fabulous creatures on the Nagata Family Farm. All profits go directly to benefit the horses and provide for their food and care - thank you for being a part of their beautiful work on this planet xo *If you're new here, know that you can crop and position the images however you prefer - you can also enlarge and shrink them, so have fun!

I agree Miu! "7 Days In the Art World" has some great quotes on what different artists think ART IS and one of my favorites is: "Art is taking something from the inside and putting it out into the world so you can be relieved of it" - Leslie Dick.

Nice picture and i like the harmony of the colours in the painting...When you paint abstract i think you live a pice of the soul on the canvas...but thats just my opinion...looking forward for more :)
